Following the launch of the Singappen Special Force (SSF) by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Tuesday, patrol vehicles for the Singappen Special Force were flagged off in Dindigul and Theni districts, on Wednesday.Dindigul Superintendent of Police A. Pradeep and Theni Superintendent of Police B. Sneha Priya flagged off the patrol vehicles in Dindigul and Theni district respectively.The main objective of the initiative was to ensure safety and security of women and children and prevent crimes against women and children and to create a safe environment for them in public places.The Special Task Force would patrol crowded and high-traffic areas, that include schools and colleges, bus stops, railway stations, IT parks and other places.
