Ministry condemns viral statements by Phakel’umthakathi, denies abuse and eviction claims.

The Ministry of Land Reform and Rural Development has moved swiftly and firmly to distance itself from a series of explosive public allegations circulating on social media and podcast platforms.

The ministry warned that the claims are false, damaging, and capable of undermining public confidence in one of the country’s most sensitive policy areas.

The dispute follows statements allegedly made by Nkosikhona Ndabandaba, also known as 'Phakel'umthakathi', where he allegedly accused the Land Reform minister, of involvement in abuses relating to farm workers and land ownership.

The government body said it had taken note of the comments and expressed concern over their impact on public trust in ongoing land reform efforts.
