More than 1.26 lakh beneficiaries received medical assistance worth over ₹292 crore under Ayushman Bharat and Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva through 97 empanelled hospitals in Prakasam district since the formation of the coalition government in the State, officials told Twenty Point Programme Implementation (Viksit Bharat – Swarna Andhra) Chairman Lanka Dinakar.Mr. Dinakar, along with Joint Collector, conducted a comprehensive review meeting at Collectorate in Ongole on Tuesday. During the meeting, the officials of concerned departments elaborated on the updates regarding the implementation of programmes related to Healthcare, Education, VB-G RAM G, AMRUT 1.0, AMRUT 2.0, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Surya Ghar and PM-KUSUM schemes.The officials informed that during 2025-26, a total of 25,735 pregnancies were registered, of which 6,205 were identified as high-risk and provided specialized care. Institutional deliveries in the district reached 100%, with 22,668 deliveries taking place in healthcare institutions.Mr. Dinakar also emphasised that quality education is the foundation for human resource development and a key pillar of Swarna Andhra. He noted that student dropout rates have reduced due to programmes such as Talliki Vandanam and the Dokka Seethamma Mid-Day Meal scheme, while infrastructure in schools is being upgraded through PM SHRI and Mana Badi – Mana Bhavishyathu.The officials said that the district has 1,980 government schools and 87 colleges, with a total enrolment of 1.86 lakh students. After the formation of the coalition government, 619 teachers have been recruited in the erstwhile Prakasam district through DSC, they informed.Meanwhile, reviewing Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Mr. Dinakar noted that large-scale distribution of textbooks, notebooks, uniforms, school bags, shoes and learning materials had significantly strengthened educational outcomes.He further reviewed the implementation of PM SHRI Schools, under which quality infrastructure, safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, furniture and learning environments are being enhanced.
