Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said that the State government is planning to conduct comprehensive medical tests for nearly 72 lakh people under the Sanjeevani digital health project, marking a paradigm shift towards technology-driven public healthcare.
The Chief Minister reviewed the project during his visit to the Thumsi village health clinic in Shantipuram mandal of Kuppam Assembly constituency. He examined digital health records and interacted with villagers, as well as medical and paramedical staff, to assess the effectiveness of continuous health monitoring and service delivery.
Mr. Naidu said the Sanjeevani project would enable effective tracking of public health parameters through advanced technology, facilitating early diagnosis, preventive care and targeted treatment. He noted that digital health records are being prepared with the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and that data from primary health centres and hospitals has already been digitised.
The Chief Minister said the initiative would primarily focus on the management of lifestyle diseases through regular screening, specialist consultations and free medicines. He added that AI-based health advisory services and real-time patient monitoring systems would be integrated with the objective of transforming Andhra Pradesh into a Healthy Andhra Pradesh.
