The Knicks are playing Game 4 of the NBA Finals tonight at home, in the Garden.And if Game 3 was any indication for how high fan emotions are running, it could lead to mayhem in the city.Big names are coming out to try to settle the fanbase before the game, including the likes of Ben Stiller and Mayor Zohran Mamdani.Here's what happened after Monday's game, and what the two said.Knicks lose, chaos ensuesMonday's game was the first time in the Finals that the Knicks had lost, and some crowds became downright rowdy at the team's first defeat since late April.Brawls broke out at one of the city's watch parties in Bryant Park, leading to arrestsPeople fought, climbed on top of police cars, scaffolding, light poles and trucks, and pulled trees and bus signs out of the ground. Police said some attendees also threw glass objects "at each other and police officers."More than 20people were taken into custody on Monday night, and eight were arrested and charged. Another thirteen were released with criminal court summons.Stiller, Mamdani tell New Yorkers not to target Spurs fansOn June 9, the day before Game 4, Ben Stiller, an avid Knicks fan who has become a staple courtside posted on X: "Being a Knick fan doesn’t mean being disrespectful to Spurs fans in any way.""We get caught up during the games but we gotta show respect to our fellow humans."Mamdani then quoted the post, echoing Stiller's sentiment."Couldn't agree more," he wrote."We'll win this series on the court (even if the refs refuse to call a flagrant on Wemby), not by targeting, harassing, or attacking Spurs fans."The Knicks play the San Antonio Spurs tonight, June 10, at 8:30 p.m.
