The atmosphere around Madison Square Garden for game three of the NBA Finals on Monday night was decidedly unsettled, with President Donald Trump’s attendance at the game prompting tight security restrictions and scuttling a public watch party for fans. It didn’t help that the Knicks fell to to the San Antonio Spurs, a loss that put an end to their 13-game winning streak.

As the Knicks look to wrest Finals control back on Wednesday night, fans will once again be allowed to cheer on their team from outside the Garden. But a much-maligned security perimeter, put into place before Trump’s visit, will remain — to the ire of the arena’s management.
