The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Macpherson will provide updates on ongoing investigations and efforts to address operational challenges within the public works sector during a scheduled media briefing.

Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Dean Macpherson is set to brief the media on several ongoing priority investigations within the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure ahead of his departmental Budget Vote address in the National Council of Provinces (NCOP).

According to the department, Macpherson will provide an update on a number of investigations currently underway within the department as part of efforts to address key issues affecting the public works sector.

Ministerial spokesperson James de Villiers said the minister is also expected to outline progress on infrastructure-related matters and developments within the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).

The briefing precedes Macpherson's departmental Budget Vote address in the NCOP, where he is expected to provide further details on the department's priorities, challenges, and interventions.
