Ukraine’s digital battlefield situational awareness system Delta is attracting interest from German military innovators, who are studying its application to strengthen Germany’s own digital defense capabilities.

This was stated by Sven Weizenegger, Head of the Cyber Innovation Hub of the German Bundeswehr, in a comment to an Ukrinform correspondent on the sidelines of the New Age Defense conference in Berlin.

“I have instructed that Delta be studied, so it might work. We will see. We aim to learn from this experience,” Weizenegger said when asked about the potential adaptation of Ukraine’s Delta system to modernize Bundeswehr capabilities.

Commenting on cooperation between the Cyber Innovation Hub and Ukraine’s defense innovation cluster Brave1, he noted that both sides are already discussing specific areas of collaboration and possible joint projects.

“We are having discussions. We are asking them whether they have companies that can help us solve certain problems we have. We are also developing our own projects, and they can choose the ones that interest them,” he said.
