Insider Brief
Diamond Quanta announced the publication of a peer-reviewed study describing a laser-processing technique for reducing strain fields in single-crystal diamond without detectable graphitization.
The research found that sub-melt nanosecond pulsed-laser processing produced measurable densification and strain-field relaxation at device-relevant depths of approximately 2-3 microns.
The findings support Diamond Quanta’s engineered-diamond development roadmap and upcoming diamond-processing tool platform.
