Showers brought on by the monsoon winds have heralded the last week of the summer and the start of the rainy season in different parts of Bangladesh.
Rainfall was recorded in different parts of the Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Sylhet, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions on Wednesday, said Meteorologist Md Tariful Newaz Kabir of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
