Pastor Mervin Naidu
A CHATSWORTH pastor is living in fear after he received death threats over a video in which he encouraged Christians to pray over food from Hindu prayers before they eat it, so “all the demons die immediately”.
In an interview with the POST, Pastor Mervin Naidu, 56, of Cornerstone Ministries, in Silverglen, claimed his sermon – which was recorded by his church – was taken out of context.
He claimed during the sermon he addressed “a delicate issue about how Christians relate to other faith communities” .
Naidu said he converted from Hinduism to Christianity when he was 16 years old and believed from that time it was his calling to be a pastor.
