INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ekiti State, Dr Bunmi Omoseyindemi, has said that the Independent National Electoral Commission will conduct a mock accreditation of voters in the state on Friday.

Omoseyindemi said that the exercise, which would be conducted in one local government area each in the three senatorial districts, was part of efforts to ensure seamless exercise during the June 20 Ekiti governorship election.

The REC, who spoke in a chat with The PUNCH in Ado Ekiti on Monday, said, “We are going to have a mock accreditation on Friday. It is part of the preparedness programme by the INEC chairman, Prof Joash Amupitan.

“We are going to choose some local governments; it is the chairman who will decide based on his consideration, but it’s going to be one per senatorial district.
