The agency added that all vehicles involved in the accident, including the wreckage, were promptly removed from the road to restore normal traffic flow and ensure public safety.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has confirmed the death of a commercial bus driver following a multiple-vehicle collision at Cele inward Oshodi in Lagos.
According to a statement issued by LASTMA's Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment, Adebayo Taofiq, on Tuesday, the accident involved a commercial mini-bus, popularly known as a "Korokpe," and a Toyota Tundra pickup truck with registration number EPE 554 YC.
The agency said preliminary investigations by security personnel at the scene indicated that the driver of the commercial mini-bus sustained severe injuries and died instantly as a result of the impact of the collision.
LASTMA stated that its operatives, who were carrying out routine traffic monitoring and surveillance in the area, quickly responded to the incident by coordinating emergency operations, securing the crash site, managing traffic and preventing further obstruction along the busy route.
