Limi Yamamoto, who designs the Tokyo-based Limi Feu women’s collection, is in New York this week for a takeover of the Yohji Yamamoto Wooster Street store in New York.

To launch the residency, the company planned an event at the store Tuesday evening centered around an immersive installation imagined by Yamamoto, which will be in-store from Tuesday through Sunday.

The company is also collaborating with Eri Wakiyama on an exclusive capsule collection to be unveiled at the event. It consists of four T-shirt designs and one shirt with Wakiyama’s artwork, along with a limited-edition collectible doll and doll keychain, both handmade by Wakiyama.

The Limi Feu brand has limited distribution in the U.S., selling to such stores as If and Atelier in New York, Mayfield LA, and Yohji Yamamoto’s U.S. flagship in SoHo. The company has been selling the collection at the 1,600-square-foot Yamamoto flagship since it opened three years ago at 52 Wooster Street.

The designer, the daughter of Yohji Yamamoto, is based in Tokyo, and has been designing the Limi Feu collection for 25 years with her own atelier and team.
