Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed sadness over the train accident along the Warri–Itakpe rail corridor near Agbor in Delta State, which claimed the lives of three passengers and left several others injured.
In a statement posted on his X page on Tuesday, Atiku extended condolences to the families of the victims and sympathised with the people and government of Delta State over the tragedy.
“I am deeply saddened by the tragic train accident along the Warri–Itakpe corridor near Agbor, Delta State, which claimed the lives of some Nigerians and left many others injured,” Atiku said.
“My heartfelt condolences go to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives.”
