Michel Ghanem,

a writer who covers television for the Cut.

He is the author of the "Appointment Viewing" column. He has a Master of Arts in fashion studies from Toronto Metropolitan University, during which he wrote a thesis on costume design and madness on television through the lens of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Unlike the character she plays in Curry Barker’s Obsession, Inde Navarrette actually loves dating herself. “I’m very, very big on me time,” she tells The Cut as she lists her favorite self-soothing activities, which include watching ten-minute YouTube painting videos, playing video games, pottery, and solo drives. “Even though you might be dating somebody else, don’t ever stop dating yourself,” the 25-year-old breakout star says, wisely. Obsession follows Bear (Michael Johnston), a 20-something music-store employee who has a huge crush on Nikki (Navarrette), his friend and colleague. After buying a seemingly innocuous “One Wish Willow” stick from a mystic crystals shop, he half-heartedly makes a wish for Nikki to fall for him. As you might expect, Bear soon learns it’s best to be careful what you wish for.
