The Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) has invited applications for its RTIH Rural Entrepreneurship Fellows Programme aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and livelihood opportunities in rural areas. The fellowship programme will be implemented in Guntur, Kakinada, Chittoor and Maredumilli-Polavaram (Rampachodavaram) regions.A statement issued on Tuesday said under the programme, selected fellows will work closely with rural youth, women, farmers, self-help groups and micro-entrepreneurs to encourage entrepreneurship and support livelihood development initiatives.The RTIH said the programme seeks to strengthen grassroots innovation and create sustainable economic opportunities in rural communities.Eligibility criteriaCandidates with a degree in any discipline, proficiency in Telugu and English and working knowledge of MS Office can apply. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in rural entrepreneurship, rural development programmes or community engagement activities.Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of ₹10,000. In addition, they will gain practical exposure to grassroots entrepreneurship initiatives, mentoring from experts and opportunities to participate in rural development and innovation programmes. The fellowship is expected to provide valuable field experience and leadership skills for young professionals interested in social and economic development.The RTIH officials said the programme is designed to nurture a new generation of rural development leaders capable of driving innovation and entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.Interested candidates can submit their applications online until June 19.
