Three members of a family tried to end their lives, and two died in the attempt in Namakkal on Monday (June 8, 2026).According to the police, Periyasamy (68) of Nanjai Idaiyaru near Paramathi Velur, his wife Parameswari (60), were residing along with Parameswari’s mother, Perumayee (80). On Monday, while their relatives came to their house, they found the trio unconscious and took them to the hospital. On the way to the hospital, Parameswari and Perumayee died. Periyasamy was admitted to the Namakkal Government Hospital who is said to be in a critical stage.The Paramathi Velur police registered a case and are investigating further.
