The European Commission has proposed an addition to the European Union's upcoming 21st sanctions package against Russia, namely an entry ban on all individuals who have fought on Russia's side in the war against Ukraine.

Details: The proposal would prohibit Russian participants in the war against Ukraine from entering the European Union.
"We propose for the first time to ban from entry into the European Union anyone who has served in the Russian Armed Forces since the beginning of the war," von der Leyen said.
