Lioner International Group has opened its first office outside Asia in Zurich. The Chinese group, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary, said in a statement on Tuesday that the move is intended to reinforce its presence in the world's key global financial hubs.

Lioner describes itself as Asia’s first and only fully integrated consortium for insurance, trust services and family offices. The firm positions itself as a partner for high-net-worth individuals, families and institutions seeking comprehensive solutions for wealth protection, preservation and succession planning. The company currently operates offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing.

Swiss Team Under Local Leadership

By combining technical expertise with cultural understanding and a growing onshore team in Switzerland, Lioner believes it is well positioned to support internationally mobile families facing increasingly complex cross-border needs.

The Swiss team will be led by Giorgio Jeni, who has also been appointed Partner. According to the statement, Jeni brings more than 27 years of experience in the life insurance and wealth management industry serving high-net-worth clients. He previously held senior positions at HSBC, UBS, Julius Baer and Credit Suisse. Most recently, according to his LinkedIn profile, Jeni worked as an independent business consultant.
