Ten-year-old Luphawu Ngqonga from Masiphumelele is preparing to step onto the stage after being cast in a production of Tchaikovsky's classic ballet, The Nutcracker.
The Kleinberg Primary School in Ocean View learner has been taking ballet lessons for almost three years.
His interest in ballet began after he watched children dancing on a television programme.
He asked his mother to learn to dance and was enrolled at the Natalie Lissack School of Ballet shortly afterwards.
