(Image credit: Paramount)As of right now, "Scary Movie" is still playing in theaters after opening nationwide on June 5, 2026. If you'd rather catch it at home, however, you shouldn't have to wait too long.Paramount usually has a 45-day theatrical window before its films move over to premium video-on-demand (PVOD). So that means "Scary Movie" should hit digital rental and movie purchasing platforms like Amazon and Apple TV around mid-to-late July 2026, possibly on July 21. Physical media usually follows that, though a 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD release hasn't been announced yet. It's likely in the cards, though. As for a subscription streaming service, the film's home will be Paramount+, the studio's own platform. Paramount has said in the past that its movies won't land on Paramount+ until at least 90 days after they reach theaters, which puts "Scary Movie" on track for an early fall arrival, most likely sometime in September 2026.After that initial Paramount+ digital window, the film could eventually turn up on free, ad-supported platforms (like Paramount's own Pluto TV) down the line. That's still a little way off, though, so renting or buying it remains your fastest route to a home viewing.
