A powerful explosion was recorded in Russia's Belgorod region, near the border with Ukraine. Following the blast, a mushroom-shaped column of smoke rose into the sky and was visible from various parts of the regional capital.

According to Ukrinform, the ASTRA Telegram channel stated this in an article.

The report notes that black smoke had already been rising above a forest before the explosion, which may indicate that a combat drone initially struck an ammunition depot located in the area.

Based on an analysis of satellite imagery, ASTRA suggests that military personnel may have been injured or killed in the blast. However, there is currently no confirmed information regarding possible casualties among servicemen.
