Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department S. Ramesh on Monday inaugurated a decorative entrance gate and a ‘Nandavanam’ at Sri Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple in Palani in Dindigul district.The entrance gate constructed at a cost of ₹53.79 lakh is located near the Kodaikanal road junction and the ‘Nandavanam’ has been set up on the West Giri Veedhi at a cost of ₹51.55 lakh. The sacred garden has been renovated to cultivate flowers specifically for the daily rituals and pujas of the temple.The Minister inspected and reviewed the infrastructure and development works at the Hill temple that included winch station, waiting halls, lodging houses for devotees, panchamirtham and prasadam preparation units, site for new annadhanam hall and construction of the high-roof shaded corridor.As part of the Master Plan Development works at the Hill temple, he inspected the rope car station, lift facility, and decoration works. He also reviewed the Annadhanam Scheme at the temple and also inspected the inner and outer prakarams and mandapams.A review meeting was held at the temple head office presided over by the Minister. The Minister instructed the officials to expedite the works being carried out under the Master Plan Development Project, to provide all the necessary amenities for the devotees and to ensure that devotees opting for a free darshan face no hindrances and are facilitated to have a quick darshan.Palani MLA K.
