June 8 (UPI) -- A pregnant cat who showed up on an Oklahoma family's porch had one more surprise in store when she gave birth to five kittens -- and adopted a baby bunny.
Kathy Price said the pregnant cat showed up on her porch in Vian about two months ago.
"I opened the door to bring her some cat food, and she ran into the house," Price told KFSM-TV.
The family, who have a long history of taking in stray cats, found the new arrival to be a friendly and welcome addition.
"She was incredibly tame and had been someone's house cat, and we were concerned about her because she lost her family, they lost her, and she needed somebody to take care of her," Price said.
