T. Karthi (29), a native of Siruvadi in Villupuram district, was found dead with injuries on the premises of Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore district on Sunday evening.The police said Karthi, a backhoe operator by occupation, had been residing in Coimbatore for about one year. The man, who went to the yoga centre as a visitor on June 6 (Saturday), was found lying in a pool of blood with severe head injuries near the exit point of the car parking around 7 p.m. on Sunday. Security personnel on duty rushed to the spot and informed the 108 ambulance service. The ambulance staff examined him upon their arrival and declared him dead, the police said.The Alandurai police examined footage of surveillance cameras in and around the area. The footage revealed that the deceased had climbed onto the roof of a power room structure located within the premises and jumped from the height, resulting in fatal injuries, said the police.According to the police, detailed scrutiny of footage from multiple cameras did not indicate the involvement of any other person or any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. Medical opinion and preliminary findings of the post-mortem examination indicated that the injuries sustained by the deceased were consistent with a fall from a considerable height, they said.The autopsy findings, coupled with the surveillance camera visuals, suggest that the deceased died after intentionally jumping from the elevated structure. No foul play or suspicious circumstances have emerged during the inquiry, so far, the police stated.The body was handed over to the relatives.
