When I first met Josh*, a tall, dark-haired, muscular stranger in a nightclub, I found him so intriguing that my friends joked, “He could be your future husband!” He was funny, friendly and chatty. I didn’t even give him my number, joking he could track me down on social media.
And he did! He found me on Twitter and was so charismatic he lured me in. In hindsight though, he was a bad choice and a troubled soul.

We’d been together for eight years when I became pregnant. I signed us up for NCT classes and, embarrassingly, Josh often wouldn’t turn up to the meetings. I made excuses to the other couples, but it was obvious something was very wrong between us.
