Iranian media outlets have reported that all flights at Tehran's Mehrabad Airport and Imam Khomeini Airport City, as well as Mashhad International Airport, have been suspended until further notice.
The Office of Communications, Information, and International Affairs of the Imam Khomeini Airport City Company announced that, based on a notice issued by the Civil Aviation Organization in the early hours of June 8, 2026, all flights at the airport have been halted until further notice.
Simultaneously, official sources reported the cancellation of all flights at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran and Mashhad Airport. Passengers have been requested to check the latest status of their flights through official systems before making any commute.
Airport officials emphasized that the resumption time for flights will be announced subsequently and that citizens should follow news regarding airport operations solely through official channels.
On Sunday evening and Monday morning, the Islamic Republic launched missile attacks on Israeli territory in support of Lebanese Hezbollah forces. Following these attacks, the Israeli military also carried out retaliatory military strikes on Monday morning, targeting certain missile bases as well as the Mahshahr Petrochemical Special Economic Zone.
