The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has ordered the driver of a Mercedes-Benz, who is suspected of causing a fatal car crash that left four people dead, to be held in custody without the possibility of bail.

According to Ukrinform, the Prosecutor General's Office reported this.

On Monday, June 8, at the request of investigators and juvenile prosecutors from the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, the court ordered the 49-year-old driver held in custody until August 3, without the right to bail.

The position of the prosecutor’s office in court was supported by Deputy Head of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office Anton Yefimov.

The accident occurred on June 5 at around 5:00 p.m. on Chokolivskyi Boulevard in Kyiv.
