Slovakia's transport regulator temporarily barred Austrian trains from entering the country last week over missing documentation.

Passengers travelling between Bratislava and Vienna are no longer experiencing problems on services to the Austrian capital from Petržalka, according to Slovak rail operator ZSSK.

"Today, 8 June, all trains are operating normally, with no replacement bus services in place," the company said.

Passengers faced disruption over the weekend after Austrian rail operators ÖBB and Raaberbahn were forced to replace some train services with buses on part of the route.

The changes affected services running from Bratislava-Petržalka, with travellers required to transfer to replacement buses before continuing their journey by rail in Austria. As a result, commuters and tourists experienced longer journey times.
