After the success of his Wild God tour in 2024, which included a two-night run at 3Arena in Dublin, Nick Cave is back in Ireland to kick off a run of outdoor headliners and festival slots around Europe.Cave’s performances investigate matters of death, religion and violence with all the study and consideration of a recorded album. His Dublin set will feature songs from throughout his four-decade career, including Wild God, his most recent record. When and where is the gig?Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds play Malahide Castle, in north Co Dublin, on Wednesday June 10th.What time should I arrive? Gates open at 5pm and the show is expected to start at 6pm. Early customers will be turned away, so don’t plan on queuing before gates open. The concert should wrap up before 11pm. Do not park illegally in and around the venue, as clamping and towing will be in operation. Travel by bus: Dublin Bus routes H2 and 42 are available from the city centre, while the 102 travels to Malahide from Dublin Airport. The Dublin Bus website has full timetable information.Concert Express is also in operation, with a fleet of return buses travelling from the city centre, Ratoath and Blanchardstown. The service also has stops at Ashbourne, Swords, Corduff and Finglas. A Leap card will not be accepted on the Concert Express, so book a return ticket in advance of the show here.Private buses and coaches are also offering travel to and from the venue, with Marathon Coaches offering return journeys from Blessington, Naas, Enfield, Maynooth, Leixlip, Navan, Drogheda and more.Travel by Dart: Malahide Dart station is a 15-minute walk from the venue, and trains will be running regularly from the city centre. Parking spaces near the venue can be booked in advance on the Evntz app, which you can download here.Are any tickets left?At the time of writing, tickets are still available on the Ticketmaster website, here. The concert grounds can hold up to 20,000 people, and it will likely get close to reaching that capacity on the night. Anyone attending should download tickets to their phone in advance to avoid experiencing any issues around internet connectivity at the site. Screenshots of tickets may not work on the day, as Ticketmaster uses live or dynamic barcodes that update regularly. What is security like? Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian. Strict age monitoring will be in place throughout the night.Security advises you to avoid bringing large bags or backpacks, as you may experience significant delays or be refused entry. There are no storage facilities on the site. Prohibited items include bags larger than A4, signs or flags larger than A3, flag poles, glass, cans, umbrellas, alcohol, e-scooters, e-bikes, disposable vapes, flares or professional recording equipment. Should I bring cash?All bars at Malahide Castle are cashless; they’ll accept credit and debit cards, as well as Google or Apple Pay. Food vendors will be accepting cash as well as card payments. What does the weather look like?Met Éireann is forecasting higher than average temperatures across most of the country for the week, with rainfall well below average. Malahide Castle is an outdoor, standing venue, so make sure you bring comfortable and water-resistant footwear, and consider a rain jacket or poncho alongside sun cream.
