Orlando! It was a night of reunions on Sunday at the 2026 Tony Awards, including for The Book of Mormon.

During the 79th annual Tony Awards ceremony, the original cast of The Book of Mormon — Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells and Rory O’Malley — reunited to celebrate their 15th anniversary.

Introduced by the show’s creators Trey Parker, Matt Stone (who also created South Park) and Robert Lopez (Avenue Q co-creator), the stars seamlessly stepped back into their roles to perform “Man Up,” the closing number to act one.

But the reunion doesn’t stop there. Gad, Rannells, O’Malley, Parker, Lopez, Stone and Nikki M. James are set to return for eight performances of the show from June 9 to 14.

The satirical musical starred Rannells and Gad as Elder Price and Elder Cunningham, two missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sent to a remote Ugandan village to preach their faith, while spotlighting their contrasting worldviews. The pair have also co-starred in Gutenberg! The Musical! on Broadway from 2023 to 2024.
