Singing vampires, a wild reimagining of “Cats” and thought-provoking dramas starring Hollywood heavyweights look poised to win big at the 2026 Tony Awards, Broadway’s biggest night. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by pop superstar Pink, a self-professed theater devotee. Dueling it out in many of the major categories are two screen-to-stage musicals, “Schmigadoon!” and “The Lost Boys,” each of which was nominated for 12 awards, including Best Musical. In a season with a relative scarcity of new musicals, the revivals of “Ragtime” and “Cats: The Jellicle Ball” are also ending the season on a high note. One of the night’s most-watched races is for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play, with Nathan Lane and John Lithgow considered its frontrunners for their much-buzzed-about performances in “Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman” and “Giant,” respectively. Other highlights of the ceremony will include a 15th-anniversary performance by the original cast of “The Book of Mormon,” including Josh Gad, Rory O’Malley and Andrew Rannells. Ahead of her starring role in “Evita” next year, Rachel Zegler will showcase her sterling vocals with a performance of a showstopper from “A Chorus Line” to mark the musical’s 50th anniversary. And Leslie Odom Jr. will perform “Without You” from “Rent” during the show’s In Memoriam segment.See the full list of nominees and winners below.
