Two practising Taulasea (Samoan traditional Healers) join the co-founder of Tiapapata Art Centre, Galumalemana Steven Percival, to restore living healing and plant knowledge.
This was done to help preserve tradition and to fight against the impacts of climate change for many generations to come.
Sumanu Teofilo and Purinisese Futi are two practising Taulasea involved in the revival of the Asosi o Taulasea, otherwise known as the Association of Traditional Samoan Healers.
Accompanying Teofilo and Futi is illustrator Neda Mei, who will assist with the preparation of educational resources for young participants.
The two had been shown around the tree reserves in Malololelei on the first of June, under the guidance of Galumalemana, before the workshop that is being held on 13 June.
