Civil-military cooperation officers from the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kostiantyn Hordiienko evacuated two young children from the kill zone in the Vovchansk direction.
The brigade stated this on social media, Ukrinform reports.
"Two boys born in 2019 and 2021 were staying in the combat zone together with their grandmother and father. It is important to note that the boys are effectively being taken out of the front-line zone for the second time: the family had already been evacuated earlier, but later the parents took the children back and returned," the military said.
According to the head of the civil-military cooperation section, callsign "Tykhyi," the father showed signs of alcohol intoxication at the time of the children's evacuation and refused to leave, while the grandmother agreed to accompany her grandsons to a safe place.
