The NDC maintained that the party's interests must take precedence over individual ambitions.

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a series of resolutions aimed at strengthening internal governance, enforcing party discipline and building what it described as a lasting political institution rather than a personality-driven movement.

The resolutions were contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, following the second meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC).

According to the statement, the party reaffirmed its commitment to party supremacy, stressing that elected officials on its platform must consult party structures before making major decisions.

The party added, “The programs, policies, and appointments (except personal staff) of all governments elected on the platform of the party must be made in consultation with the party structure.”
