In view of the withdrawal of the heavy rainfall warning, Wayanad District Collector D.R. Meghashree, who is also the chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority, on Sunday (June 7) ordered the lifting of restrictions on quarry operations and tourism activities in the district.Restrictions on the functioning of tourist destinations, including homestays in disaster-prone areas, as well as on adventure tourism centres and trekking activities, have also been withdrawn.However, the ban on the removal of earth using machinery will remain in force.
