A 35-year-old man was killed and five others wounded in a shooting attack near the Israeli settlement of Kochav Yair on Sunday.
Israeli police shot dead the suspected assailant after locating the vehicle allegedly used in the attack near the occupied West Bank security barrier.
Two of the five wounded victims were evacuated in serious condition, with three others sustaining moderate penetrating wounds, treated at Meir and Beilinson hospitals.
Hamas praised the attack, saying it was a response to Israeli military operations in Gaza and policies in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
