Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of Adamawa state, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic road accident that claimed the lives of some members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and military personnel in the state.

In a statement issued on Friday by Humwashi Wonosikou, his Chief Press Secretary, the governor described the incident as heartbreaking and a painful loss not only to the families of the victims but also to the nation.

Governor Fintiri said the deceased were young patriots and dedicated service members who lost their lives while serving their country. He noted that their commitment and sacrifice to national service would always be remembered.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Adamawa State, I extend our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased, the NYSC, and the Government and people of Kaduna State, from where some of the corps members hailed,” the governor stated. He added that the corps members and the military officer paid the ultimate price in the course of serving Nigeria, stressing that their deaths have left the state in mourning. “Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. Adamawa grieves with you,” he said.
