PESHAWAR: The speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Babar Saleem Swati, has called a meeting of the parliamentary leaders in the provincial assembly to discuss ‘suspension’ of wheat supply from Punjab to KP besides closure of CNG stations across the province.

The meeting was called after KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi and Mr Swati met and discussed the issues emerging after imposition of ban on wheat supply from Punjab to KP and prolonged closure of CNG stations in the province.

In an invitation letter to guests, Mr Swati said that a meeting was convened on Monday [today] at 11am in Rahman Baba Conference Room of the assembly secretariat to discuss the unconstitutional ban on transportation of wheat and flour from Punjab and unconstitutional limited supply of natural gas and closure of CNG stations in KP.
