The State Department will issue a limited-edition commemorative passport in July, featuring President Donald Trump's portrait and gold signature, to mark America's 250th anniversary.

Collector's Document Rooted in History The special-edition passport will only be available to in-person applicants in Washington, D.C., around July 4, the Department of State confirmed to Travel + Leisure.

Jul. 4, 2026, marks the 250th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, the semiquincentennial of the United States.

The milestone has prompted a sweeping federal commemoration effort spanning monuments, currency, national park passes, and major public events.
