Andhra Pradesh IT & HRD Minister Nara Lokesh visited ‘School 21’, a unique institution operating under the aegis of Sber in Moscow on Saturday.The school’s administrators and students gave him insights into the institution’s methods, which were at significant variance with traditional systems of education.According to an official release, School 21 is a free programming and software development educational initiative launched by Sberbank in Russia, wherein the students are not charged any tuition fee.It is a member of the international “42” network and operates independently following the innovative ‘school of the future’ methods designed by the French coding school, École 42.No traditional education, peer-to-peer learning and tuition-free model are its highlights.Later, Mr. Lokesh visited SberCity and met Sberbank Vice-President and Director of Research & Innovation Albert Efimov; SberCity Chief Information Officer Evgeniy Chulanov, and Deputy Director General Ilya Pulner.SberCity is an innovative, high-tech urban development project located near Moscow, developed by Sberbank. It serves as a flagship hub for the company’s research, innovation and technological ecosystem.SberCity executives explained the features of their R&D system, quantum technology center, AI-based services, digital healthcare, cybersecurity solutions and digital education solutions through a presentation.
