MANILA, Philippines — Mamamayang Liberal party-list Rep. Leila de Lima has urged the government to restore the Philippines’ membership in the International Criminal Court (ICC).
She believes this will show government’s resolve in upholding the rule of law and its commitment in fighting against impunity.
As de Lima filed House Resolution No. 1056, she called on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., through the Department of Foreign Affairs, to rejoin the Rome Statute of the ICC.
