The Fa'atuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (FAST) Party has officially opened its $1.5 million headquarters in Mulinu’u as part of celebrations marking six years since the party was founded.

Prime Minister Laaulialemalietoa Leuatea Schmidt announced the cost of the renovations at the opening on Saturday, while it was also announced that monetary gifts from supporters worldwide amounted to more than half a million tala.

The new headquarters, named “Home of Faith,” is located at the Head of State Rest House on Mulinu’u Road in Apia. The site is considered a prominent historical landmark in Samoa, situated in a deeply significant area that is home to the Maota Fono, the 1962 Independence Memorial, and historic royal tombs.

Prime Minister Laaulialemalietoa officially opened the new headquarters and said it was important for FAST to have a permanent home in Mulinu’u, a place he described as connected to the ancestors and the history of Samoa. The Prime Minister acknowledged all those who supported the party, the opening of the new headquarters, and the anniversary celebrations.

He said the headquarters would serve as a meeting place for Samoa's 51 districts, and FAST supporters from New Zealand, Australia, the United States, Hawai’i, American Samoa, and other parts of the world.
