MANILA, Philippines — Acting Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian confirmed on Friday that the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has already coordinated with the Senate regarding the transfer of contractor Pacifico “Curlee” Discaya, who has been ordered arrested by a local court.
In a statement, Gatchalian said the Senate is processing necessary documents to facilitate Discaya’s turnover to the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday.
“The DILG has coordinated with us and we’re working on the necessary papers to transfer him to the PNP,” Gatchalian said.
“The target date is Monday,” he added.
