The camp of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has attacked the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joash Amupitan, declaring that his continued leadership of the electoral body poses a threat to democracy and the credibility of the 2027 general elections.
In a post on X on Friday, Atiku's media aide, Paul Ibe, accused Amupitan of partisanship, saying that the controversies over the leak of personal data of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) aspirant, Emeka Ike, cast doubt on the INEC chairman’s neutrality.
