Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government of using state institutions to intimidate opposition figures while shielding defectors from prosecution.
Atiku spoke after emerging as the ADC’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general election, warning the Bola Tinubu administration, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and the judiciary against what he described as interference in the affairs of the opposition party.
“Once a person joins the APC, the harassment by security and anti-corruption agencies ceases, and the charges against them magically disappear,” Atiku said.
