The New York Knicks were able to extend their win streak to 12 games with a victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Although many fans and experts believe the Spurs are the superior team, a 1-0 series deficit might be more disadvantageous than you might initially assume.Over the course of NBA history, the winner of Game 1 of the NBA Finals goes on to win the series 77.8% of the time. Of course, that still leaves a 22.2% window for the Spurs to fall into. As recently as 2021, the Milwaukee Bucks came back from a 2-0 series deficit to defeat the Phoenix Suns.Regardless, it's hard to imagine a world where the Spurs drop both games at home to open the series, right? Well, here are some expert opinions from around the internet to give you an idea of what to expect from Friday's game.Knicks vs. Spurs Game 2 predictionsUSA TODAY Staff: Spurs will even it upWhile most of the USA TODAY Sports staff was split on Game 1 of this series, it seems we are mostly in agreement that the Spurs will tie things up Friday evening.Jon Hoefling: Spurs 121, Knicks 107Lorenzo Reyes: Spurs 112, Knicks 106Marcus Smith: Spurs 117, Knicks 109Mark Giannotto: Spurs 110, Knicks 104Scooby Axson: Spurs 121, Knicks 105Adam Thompson, CBS Sports: OVER 214.5Thompson writes, "The Under was the winner in Game 1 with just 200 points scored. Despite that result, four of the past six Knicks' games have cleared the total. Combined, these teams allowed 219 ppg on the season and scored a whopping 236.6 PPG, well over this posted total. The model projects those trends continue for Game 2."Jason Logan, Covers: Victor Wembanyama OVER 11.5 reboundsLogan writes, "The San Antonio Spurs need Victor Wembanyama to stay at home and clean the defensive glass. Not only does his rebounding spark the Spurs’ transition (which was a no-show in 2H), but giving up a Costco-sized pack of offensive rebounds to the New York Knicks is crippling to the defense after forcing a miss. Wembanyama still wrangled 12 boards on 22 rebounding chances but only nine on defense, as he was closing out on shooters."How to watch Game 2 of the NBA FinalsTime: 8:30 p.m. ETWhere: Frost Bank Center (San Antonio)TV: ABCStream: Fubo, YouTube TVStream Game 2 of the NBA Finals with Fubo
