A man’s ex-wife told police his shirt went missing on the night he allegedly raped a woman before evading justice for more than 20 years, a jury has heard.
Paul Quinn, 51, is accused of carrying out a brutal attack on the victim as she walked home in Bolton in the early hours of 19 July, 2003.
The woman was dragged down an embankment beside the M61 and subjected to a prolonged sexual assault during which she was strangled unconscious and suffered a fractured cheekbone.
