Gururaj Gantihole, Byndoor MLA, inaugurated a garden of medicinal plants at Chithrakoota Ayurveda Chikitsalaya near Kundapur in Udupi district on World Environment Day on Friday.The garden has over 250 rare and endangered species of medicinal herbs, a release said.The experts at Chithrakoota will provide information to the visitors, including students, on how various plants can be used at home for emergency treatment, their health benefits, and how everyone can easily grow them in their home gardens, it said.
